Data processing
All data that Säntinox AG receives from the renter or other persons affected by the rental process is processed in accordance with the provisions of Swiss data protection law. The purpose of the processing is the operation of our business. The data is used in particular for contract performance as well as for establishing and maintaining customer contact.
We have implemented technical and organizational security measures to protect the data we process against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or access by unauthorized persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments. Our employees and, where applicable, third parties processing data on our behalf are bound by confidentiality.
Säntinox AG is expressly authorized by the customer, in addition to their general personal data, to process all further data contained in their driving licence or an identification document (passport/ID) (including images), communication data (in particular e-mail address), financial data (e.g., credit card data), as well as all other categories of personal data in accordance with the purposes stated in this privacy policy. The renter has the right to withdraw the above consent at any time. The lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent up to the time of withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.
Name, address and rental data, as well as any other information about the renter known to the lessor, will be transmitted to the relevant authority in the case of substantiated official requests (e.g., in the context of traffic violations), and to the third party concerned in the case of an alleged infringement of third-party rights (e.g., interference with possession).

Data retention period
